Duke of Edinburgh's Scheme: These sessions take the form of a course for young people undertaking the "skill" section of the Duke of Edinburgh's award. I follow the basic format of recommended session plans as noted in the Duke of Edinburgh handbooks but also incorporate elements of modern DJing with up to date technology.
Youth Centres: Youth Clubs and Centres often have a set of DJ equipment hanging around, or some young people may have made a request for some. I am available for advice and sessions to help teach young people how to choose, set up, maintain and use equipment. I can run one off "taster" sessions or can compile a series of sessions with specific project aims such as recording CDs or putting on a performance, disco or rave. I can also bring my own equipment to trial young people's reaction to the art form before buying their own or just for fun.
Secondary Schools: I have worked with school classes to help understand song arrangements, the relation of tempo to pitch on recorded music, the definition of pulse, beat, bar, phrase, etc or simply as an educational treat.
Primary Schools: I have worked with Year Six classes as an educational treat and to assist at an end of term musical performance.

DJWorkshops.com is always available for one off taster sessions which can run anywhere, anytime. Often tasters are used to see if a full course will be as well attended as youth think. Tasters are equally good as a treat or at a special event.
