This business used to be called Madman Promotions and also used to promote Jim Reiss' services as a DJ. To avoid confusion the two businesses have now been separated and are thus more specific to individual client's needs. Invoices for all workshop work will now be sent from James Reiss trading as DJWorkshops.com.
DJWorkshops.com is run by Jim Reiss, a sole trader, who has been running nightclub events, band tours, bar residencies and offering private tuition since 1996. My team of contacts has experience in, amongst other industries: music law, record labels, nightclub promotions, musical equipment retail, vinyl retail, PA system hire, recording studios, equipment insurance, lighting hire, bar management, teaching, tuition, flyer design and printing.
In 2004 I started participating in Youth and Community Workshops in collaboration with North Yorkshire County Council's CYC department. Since then I have run my own workshops. I have been the sole coordinator of Calderdale Youth Offending Teams' Summer Arts College DJ programme for three years. I also act as an agent for other artists who can collaborate on larger, more extensive or multi disciplinary projects.
